A

House - Each representative represents an individual district (# of districts in a state is based on state’s population)
Senate - Each senator represents a whole state

  1. Subcommittees are organized to handle certain topics
  2. Committee meets to mark up bill then bill is sent to congress
  3. Bill is passed or defeated by a chamber
  4. Bill is sent to another chamber to debate
  5. If bill is approved then Bill is sent to president to approve/veto
  6. Veto can be overridden with 2/3 majority vote
