What is the Computer Misuse Act (1990)
This is an act passed in 1990 to prevent unauthorized access to computers

This act was passed in 1998 and is to prevent personal data being used for other things

What are the Principles of the Data Protection Act
Data must be used fairly and lawfully
Used for limited purposes
Only use the data for what its needed for
Make sure the data is accurate
Not kept longer than necessary
Able to be corrected or removed if necessary
Data is secure
Not transferred to other countries without protection

Hackers
Viruses- Trojan horse
Spyware
Phishing
