What are HASAWA duties?
Risk assessments are carried out and control measures are implemented.

What does COSHH require employees to do?
Reduce exposure to harmful substances
Protect staff and service users from harm
What is the civil contingencies act?
A clear set of roles and responsibilities for those involved in emergency preparation and response at a local level.
What is a procedure for safe lone working?
Carrying a personal alarm.
What are some risks of lone working?
Long hours, including nights.
Intense emotional situations, e.g. social workers.
Risk of robbery for prescription medicines.
Regular patterns of home visits make personal care staff more vulnerable to assault, especially those on foot.
