Ethics
what is moral awareness?
knowing an ethical problem exists
unwritten rules or cultural expectations that guide behavior and evaluations of what is considered normal by a given social unit, organization, community, or nation.. informal consequences
norms
can be either mandatory or voluntary in nature, sets of rules or guidelines outlining social norms, expectations, and responsibilities for a particular group or organization

primarily concerned with the outcomes of actions
what is a deontological school of thought?
looks to the acts themselves in determining the ethicality of an action, irrespective of the consequences. Sometimes called duty or obligation ethics
what is virtue ethics?
focuses on the motivations and character of the person. This particular school of thought was popular throughout both the Western and Eastern worlds until the Enlightenment
