Title VII of the Civil Rights Act
Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 stipulates that it is illegal to discriminate in job descriptions based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.
Age Discrimination in Employment Act
The Age Discrimination in Employment Act makes it illegal to discriminate against anyone age 40 or older from holding a job in a government agency, in a private enterprise with 20 or more workers, or in a union with more than 25 members.
