What is the HSSC and what does it do?
Harmonised systems of survey and certification.
Lined up all certs expiry and revaluation to be done on the same date
Means all can be renewed 5 yearly together
What is a periodical survey?
A physical operation inspection of the items relating to a particular certificate to ensure they are satisfactory and working.
It’s a mid term survey which doesn’t lead to the issue of a new certificate.
What is an intermediate survey?
Inspection of the specified items relevant to the cert to ensure they are in satisfactory condition.
