shoulder width apart, hands holding handles, palms
facing body, elbows bent to 90 degrees, crossbar at eye
level
Resistance: medium
Inhale: Bend legs
Exhale: Straighten legs, return to start position
MUSCLE FOCUS • Knee extensors
• Elbow flexors
• Spinal extensors
• Spinal flexors
OBJECTIVES • Knee extensor strength
• Elbow flexor strength
• Trunk stabilization

CUES • Hold arms parallel to each other
• Keep upper arms stable and parallel to the floor
• Keep trunk upright as if moving up and down wall
• Keep knees behind line of toes when bending
