(1835-1909), an Italian criminal anthropologist and father of the positivist school of criminology who was inspired by social Darwinism and argued that criminality was biological and was identifiable by psychological or physical defects

Lombroso popularized the notion that you were born a criminal and that it was identifiable by certain animal-like traits (large jaw, low forehead, shifty eyes). They rejected the Classical School.
