What was the aim of the CLEAR report?
Attempts to set and define standards to which eye care professionals should work to and it highlights the future areas of research.
What terminology changes were introduced?
Bowmans membrane to be called anterior limiting lamina
Descemets membrane to be called posterior limiting lamina
RGP to be called Rigid corneal lenses
Extended or continuous wear to be called planned or sporadic overnight wear
Medical contact lenses to define any lens worn for treating and underlying disease or complicated refractive status
What is not proven about CL fitting from the CLEAR report?
pupil size affects the performance of multifocals
