Lecture 8 CT Flashcards

adipocytes

collagen fibers

dense irregular CT (more collagen than cells, type I&III, some elastic, think DERMIS!)

dense regular - lots of fibers, supported by rows of fibroblasts. ONLY TYPE I - tendons, ligaments.

elastic fibers (thin and branched), stretchable due to AA desmosine and isodesmosine.

elastic tissue in an artery

eosinophil in loose CT (LOOK FOR BILOBED!)

eosinophil in blood stream (BILOBED!)

fibroblasts in CT (spindle shaped with elongated nucleus, production of ECM)

little and big macrophages

loose CT

lymphocytes and plasma cells

lymphocytes in blood - develop in marrow. large nucleus.

macrophage with few lysosomes

macrophages with many lysosomes

mallory trichrome with type I and III

mast cell in EM

mesenchyme

monocytes (precursor to macrophage)

mucous, wharton’s jelly, umbilical cord

neutrophils in loose CT (trilobed or more!!!)

neutrophils in blood

type I collagen (banded)

silver stain TYPE 3!!!!!
