What is a model of land use?
Function - the sorts of features present in the city
Distribution - where these features are located (residential, business district)
Intensity - how intensively these feature are used

65, 16 and 18 percent
what is Bid rent?
the amount of money that a particular parcel of land could expect to receive. Synonymous with land value
How to calculate bid rent?
bid rent = Land value at PVI - Access costs
What is Prime Value Intersection (PVI)?
point in the city with the greatest degree of access. Point where all other land values are determined. (666 Burrard, $700 sq/foot)
What is Access Costs?
the costs associated with distance for a particular function
What is Central Business District (CBD)?
the core of the city where transport networks coverage ad land uses are dominated by retail and office functions
What is TOD?
Transit Oriented Development
What are critical factors for liveable communities?
