What ave follicular cells? what’s the role of thyroid hormones

Cells that are stimulated by THS to produce T3 and T4 aka. Thyroid hormones. These hormones function to:
- increase BMR
- maintain normal body temp
- stimulate protein synthesis
- to increase use of glucose and fatty acids for ATP production
- upregulate beta receptors that attach to catecholamines
- work with ugh and insulin to accelerate growth.
