How does geothermal energy work?
A
Resources found in volcanic regions with permeable rock strata.
Groundwater is circulated and heated by contact wit hot rock

How do Geothermal plants work?
A
- Draw steam from underground and direct it into turbines.
- Flash steam - Separate steam from geothermal reservoir water and uses this to spin turbine, leftover water injected back into resovoir.

Binary cycle geothermal power plant
A
- Lower temp water
- Organic fluid with a low boiling point is boiled and vaporized to power the turbine
- water reinjected in the reservoir to be reused.
