It is to screen and create an intervention

To reduce the risk of it happening again with things like rehab and interventions

What is opportunistic screenings?
Monitoring an individual just in case
What is meant by population screening?
It is to target a particular disease in the population or local area
What is meant by self-screening?
It is when the individual examines themselves for lumps or symptoms

What are the two types of screenings?

What does primary screening involve?
Detecting increased risk of disease
What does secondary screening involve?
Detect ongoing process such as cancer
What is meant by a false positive and a false negative in screening?
False positive - treated when you DONT have it
False negative - Not treated when you DO have it

Accessible and convenient
