Types of chromatin

A

Euchromatin
- the functional active part of chromatin, where DNA > RNA transcription takes place

Heterochromatin
- the functional inactive part of chromatin, non-trascribable
- constitutive (repetitive DNA)
- facultative: transcribed only in a certain development period of the body
