Why do we need evidence-based management?
If we don’t think about information critically we rely on:
- obsolete knowledge
- pers. experience without reflection
- specialist skills, hype and dogma
- mindless mimicry
How is evidence-based management is different from analytics
- EBM uses analytical data in as a source of information
- it also uses 1) scientific literature 2)professional expertise 3) stakeholder concerns
Components of analytical literacy
1) understanding of business logic to drive measurement
