The droppler shift

A

As the wave moves closer to you the higher the frequency will be, for sound it would sound louder/ higher pitched, for light the colour will get cooler (closer to blue)

As it moves away from you the frequency would be lower as it is spreaded out more, light would appear warmer (reder) and sound would sound lower

How does light tell us the speed of a distant object

A

Droppler effect tells us how fast an object is moving towards or away from us, Blueshift = toward
Redshift= away

A

The width of an objects spectral lines can tell us how fast it is rotating

Our eyes uses refracting to focus light
