What is light?
A narrow band of electromagnetic radiation that can be conceptualised as a wave or a stream of photons.
What is the name for the transparent “window” into the eyeball?
Cornea.
What is the aqueous humor?
The watery fluid in the anterior chamber.
What is the lens inside the eye which focuses light onto the back of the eye called?
Crystalline lens
What is myopia?
When light is focused in front of the retina and distant objects cannot be seen sharply; nearsightedness.
What is it called when light is focused behind the retina and near objects cannot be seen sharply; farsightedness?
Hyperopia.
What is astigmatism?
Unequal curving of one or more of the refractive surfaces of the eye, usually the cornea.
