2 norms (standard) of morilty:
divide reason and human reason
human acts are good and evil inasmuch as they agree or conflict with the _

3 determinants of morality
object, motive and circumstances.
this refers to the act itself, the deed done or to be done.
the object
there are certain are intrinsically good or evil
the object
this refers to the agents personal intentions are wishes to be achieved by the act over and above what it naturally tends to.
the motive
they are the conditions that affect an act, and may affect it morality, although they do not belong to the essence of the act as such.
the circumstances
7 circumstances can be given:
who, what, where, with, what ally, how, when, and why.
who is the agent? to whom is the act done?
circumstances of person (who)
what is the extent act? was the injury slight or serious? was the amount stolen large or small?
circumstances of quality or quantity of the act (what)
where did the act took place?
circumstances of place (where)
what is used in the performance of the act?
circumstances of means (with what ally)
how did the agent perform the act? was he in good or bag faith? was his evil disposition intensely malicious or only slight so?
circumstances of manner (how)
how long did the agent retain an evil thought, long period or momentarily?
circumstances of time (when)
