Resistant to change/ does not want to think about making a change

Preparation
visibly getting ready to change
ex. buying running shoes, meeting with counselors
action
actively doing behavior for 3-6 months
Maintenance
maintaining new behavior for 6 months of more

Accountibility
taking responsibility for personal actions
countering
replace a bad habit with a neutral/good habit
shaping
a series of small goals to move you to overall goal
Triggers
instance/situation that temps/encouraged bad behavior
