Nutrition assessment
What information from the case study is important?
- The blood test results
- The medication she is on
- Family history
- Bowel movements
- She lives a busy life (work and study commitments)
- She lives with another flatmate
The five domains pf assessment -What are they?
Anthropometric measurements
Biochemical data, medical tests, procedures
Clinical-nutrition-focused physical findings
Diet- food/nutrition related history
Extras- client history, exercise (physical activity) and lifestyle choices
Complete a qualitative assessment of the 2 day food diary
- use qualitative analysis to evaluate servings of each food group
-Which food groups is she doing well in and which could she do better?
-What nutrients are you concerned about?
-Is there anything else that concerns you about her food diary?
