A

is a group of all organisms that live in a certain environment/habitat. So not only tadpoles, but plants, other species etc. Example: do the number of fish increase relative to the number of tadpoles.

Ecosystem ecology

A

ecosystem is study of sort of everything. Deals with flows of energy, nutrients, carbon and nitrogen cycles. Does not track animals but looks at cycles and stuff like that.
