Q

secondary prevention

A
  • can be defined as things to protect the athlete should an injurious situation arise.
  • more specifically, how can we diminish the effect of the incident
  • this includes things like
    1. sports equipment, release bindings, helmet technology, shin pads for soccer/ hockey, taping or bracing
    2. also includes training proper falling technique, conditioning to strengthen structure so they can tolerate increased force etc.
