A

the grouping of data based on natural relationships. I.e the customers being dissatisfied with the railways may be due to trains being cancelled, trains running late. These may be a result of unreliable trains or infrastructure creating one group.

This is where the relationship between 2 factors (or groups on an affinity diagram) are analyses to see which one is the cause and which one is the effect.
