- But that it can also have potential legal, socio-economic, and ethical issues
- AI Watch is in charge of monitoring the EU AI strategy
- First step: to define Artificial Intelligence

A
- Provide an overview of connected research fields, policies, and industries
- Facilitate communication and knowledge transfer: build a better understanding
- Define the scope of action for government (agencies)

- Perception of the environment

Given a particular goal, they find the best or most accurate solution

A
- Make sure dataset is representative of the population of interest
- Develop appropriate rules, standards, metrics for data annotation
- Incorporate domain-specific knowledge:
Which predictive features are
important
Which predictive features can
introduce bias
Which features can be acting as
proxies and introduced bias?
Which relevant features are omitted/missing?
