A
unpleasant abnormal sensation that can be provoked or spontaneous

A
pain evoked by stimulus this is not usually noxious
- ex: pain during gentle palpation

What is hyperalgesia?
A
excessive sensitivity to stimuli that are normally mildly painful
- ex: excessive pain while palpating coracoid process
