What is altruism?

When an individuals behaviours benefit others in a group rather than their own.

What causes individuals sometimes to forego their own fitness in order to help relatives?

- Helping at the nest
- Cannibalism (tadpoles prefer non-relatives)
- Eusociality.

Define ‘haploidiploid’.
A
A form of sex determination in which fertilised eggs become females, and unfertilised eggs become males.
