  2. The food landscape has transformed. Over the past century, the way most of us eat has change dramatically (Canadians get 50% of their calories form ultra-processed foods , Canadians are facing nutrient inadequacies in one or more nutrients every day)
  3. In order to get the nutrients you need for optimal brain and mental health, making every bite count is more important than ever now
  4. When it comes to the nutrients for brain and mental health bioavailability matters (animal based food provides high quality protein)
  5. Mental illness tracks with chronic diseases and vice versa (mental health goes with the diseases)
  6. Helping people eat for brain and mental health don’t need to be complicated ( food category approach, dit with their preferences and schedule, work within their budgets)
  7. Learn into pleasurable aspects of food. Show how delicious, nutritious food can help us feel good and boost brain health.
