A

18th century: movement around region through colonial rather than indigenous networks.
19th century: Voluntary movements through missionaries and Forced movements through black birding.
20th century: Push/pull factors include - Economic, Religion and Family obligations.

A

The dispersion or spread of any people from their original homeland.

  1. Communities who live somewhere other than their original home.
  2. Do not plan to return
  3. Those whose sense of who they are is connected to that place.
