data that falls into one of two categories (e.g. male/female)
what is a P catagory?
a catagory that is deemed a “success”

X is the number of successes, P is the expected praportion, and n is the sample size

the binomial sampling distribution to hypothesis for testing praportion
the null hypothesis in a binomial test is what?
the relative frequency of successes in the population is P0
the alternative hypothesis in a binomial test is what?
the relative frequency of successes in tests in the population is not equal to P0
what is the equation for the estimated proportion of success?
Phat=x/n
the standard error of Phat is what?
the square root of p(1-p)/n
standard error does what as sample size increases?
