First line tuberculosis treatment:
Ethambutol

two treatments of LTBI that resolves in 3 months:
Isoniazid and Rifampin daily
Isoniazid and rifapentine weekly
CDC recommended.
treatment that resolves in 4 months:
daily rifampin
Active form of TB treatment and how long it takes and what can be added to it:
9 months of isoniazid and rifampin
can add pyrazinamide AND ethambutol for the first 2 months—— treatment reduced to 6 months.

Adverse reactions of Isoniazid:
Allergic reactions: fever, skin rash, Drug induced SLE
Direct toxicity:
-INH-induced hepatitis (most common)
-CNS toxicity
-periphral neuropathy (B6)
Rifa and its derivatives:
