before a pesticide is registered, what 3 things does it have to be tested for?

how often is a pesticide on the market reviewed?
every 15 years
what is the PCPA? what does it establish?
The pest control products act.
It’s what gives the PMRA authority
establish maximum residue limits (MRL) for each pesticide for each food
what were 3 improvements of PCPA 2002?
- strengthen protection by: accounting for sensitive populations, aggregate exposure (numerous routes), cumulative effects (numerous chemicals), MSDS,
- registration more transparent: public consultation and test data
- require incident reporting
