Bloody Mary
1 1/2 oz vodka
8 oz tomato juice
1/4 oz lemon juice
1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp Tabasco
Salt & pepper to season
Celery and lemon wedge to garnish
Filled chilled Collins glass with ice. Add all, season with salt & pepper, stir, garnish with celery and lemon.
Sazerac
2 dashes Absinthe, rinsing

Build all ingredients in a shaker tine with ice and shake. Strain into a martini glass and garnish with lime wheel or zest.
Gimlet
- 2 oz gin or vodka (vodka gimlet)
- .75 oz simple syrup
- .75 oz lime juice
Shake ingredients with ice and strain into cocktail glass.
Moscow Mule
- 2 oz vodka
- 4 to 6 oz ginger beer
- .5 oz lime juice
Squeeze lime juice into a Moscow Mule mug. Add two or three ice cubes, pour in the vodka, and fill with cold ginger beer. Stir and serve.
Whiskey Sour
- 2 oz whiskey
- 1 oz lemon juice
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 egg white (optional)
Combine ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake (bartenders use this “dry shake” to incorporate the egg white). Add ice and shake again. Strain over ice in a rocks glass.

- 2 oz tequila

- Grapefruit soda to top
Add tequila and lime to a salt-rimmed glass filled with ice. Top with grapefruit soda.

Mint Julep
- 2 oz bourbon
- 8-10 mint leaves
- .25 oz simple syrup
Muddle the mint leaves and simple syrup in a mint julep cup. Add bourbon and fill with with crushed ice. Stir until the cup is frosted. Fill with more crushed ice. Serve with a straw and a mint sprig garnish.
Dark n’ Stormy
- 1.5 oz Gosling’s Black Seal Rum
- Ginger beer to top
Fill a highball glass with ice and add rum and ginger beer. Garnish with lime.
Martinez
- 1.5 oz Old Tom gin
- 1.5 oz sweet vermouth
- .25 oz Luxardo maraschino liqueur
- 2 dashes Angostura or orange bitters
Stir ingredients in a mixing glass with ice. Strain into chilled martini glass or cocktail coupe.
Boulevardier
- 1 oz Campari
- 1 oz sweet red vermouth
- 1 oz to 1.5 oz bourbon (rye whiskey is often used instead in modern-day versions)
Mix Campari, sweet red vermouth, and bourbon or rye whiskey with ice, stir until chilled, strain into a glass over ice, and garnish with an orange twist.
Gin & Tonic
- 2 oz gin
- 4 to 6 oz tonic water
Add gin and tonic to a glass filled with ice cubes. Garnish with a lime wedge.
Penicillin
- 2 oz blended Scotch
- .75 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
- .75 oz honey-ginger syrup
- .25 oz Islay single malt Scotch
Pour the blended Scotch, lemon juice, and honey-ginger syrup into a shaker with ice, and shake. Strain into a glass with ice and top with Islay single malt Scotch. Garnish with candied ginger.
Champagne Cocktail
- 1 sugar cube
-3 dashes Angostura bitters - Top with champagne
Douse sugar cube in bitters until completely covered. Drop cube into a flute glass and top with champagne. Garnish with a lemon twist.
Greyhound
- 2 oz vodka or gin
- 4 oz grapefruit juice
Add vodka and grapefruit juice to a glass over ice. Stir until mixed. Garnish with a lime wedge.
Kir Royale
Mai Tai
- Lime wedge, for rimming
- .5 tbsp chili powder
- 1 oz dark rum
- 1 oz white rum
- 1 oz freshly squeezed orange juice
- Juice of 1 lime
- 1 oz orange Curaçao
- .5 oz orgeat syrup
- 1 tbsp grenadine
Rim two glasses with a lime wedge. Place chili powder on a small plate and dip rim into chili powder and turn to coat. Add rums, orange juice, lime juice, Curaçao, and orgeat syrup to glass and stir. Fill with ice, then add grenadine. Garnish with pineapple wedges, lime slices, and maraschino cherries.
Bellini
- 1.5 oz fresh white peach puree
- Prosecco, to top
Pour the peach puree into a Champagne flute and top with Prosecco. Garnish with a peach slice, if you so desire.
Sex on the Beach
- 1.5 oz vodka
- .5 oz peach schnapps
- 2 oz orange juice
- 2 oz cranberry juice
Fill a glass with ice and add vodka, peach schnapps, and orange juice. Pour cranberry juice over. Garnish with an orange wedge.
White Russian
- 1.5 oz vodka
- .75 oz Kahlua
- .75 oz heavy cream
Shake well with cracked ice, then strain into a chilled old-fashioned glass.
Pina Colada
- 2.5 oz rum
- 3 oz pineapple juice
- 1 oz coconut cream (usually Coco Lopez)
Combine rum with unsweetened pineapple juice (you can sub in 3 ounces crushed or whole pineapple) and coconut cream in a blender. Blend on high with a cup or so of crushed ice, or 5 to 6 ice cubes. Pour into a tall glass. Garnish with a pineapple and cherry.
Bee’s Knees
- 2 oz gin
- .75 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
- .5 oz honey syrup (Delish has a honey syrup recipe)
Add the gin, lemon juice, and honey syrup into a shaker with ice and shake until chilled. Strain into a chilled glass. Garnish with a lemon twist, if you wish.
Sangria
- 1 (750-ml) bottle red wine
- 1 cup orange juice
- .5 cup brandy
- .25 cup granulated sugar
- 1 orange, sliced
- 1 apple, sliced
- 1 cup blueberries
- 1 cup sliced strawberries
- 1 (12-oz) can seltzer
In a large pitcher, mix together wine, orange juice, brandy, and sugar. Stir in oranges, apples, blueberries, and strawberries. Refrigerate until ready to serve, preferably two hours. Top off with seltzer before serving.

Screwdriver
- 1 to 2 oz vodka
- Freshly squeezed orange juice, to top*
Pour the vodka over ice in a glass. Top with orange juice. Garnish with an orange twist.
*It’s usually 2 parts orange juice to 1 part vodka, but use more orange juice if it’s the first time you’re trying it!
Black Russian
2 oz vodka
1 oz coffee liqueur
Directions
Stir ingredients with ice in a mixing glass. Strain into an old-fashioned glass over fresh ice.
Hurricane
Amaretto Sour
2 oz amaretto liqueur
1 oz simple syrup
3/4 oz fresh lemon juice
1 orange slice
1 Luxardo cherry
Directions
Combine amaretto, simple syrup, and lemon juice in a shaker with ice. Shake for at least 10 seconds. Strain into a rocks glass over ice and garnish with a maraschino cherry and orange slice.
Gin Rickey
- 2 oz gin
- 1/2 fresh lime
- 6 oz club soda (to top off)
Directions
Squeeze the juice from half a lime into a highball glass filled with ice cubes. Drop the lime shell in the glass. Pour in the gin, then fill the rest of the glass with club soda. Stir.
Tequila Sunrise
- 1 1/2 oz tequila
- 3 oz freshly squeezed orange juice
- 1 tsp grenadine
Directions
Shake tequila and orange juice well with cracked ice. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Add grenadine and stir gently, for no longer than is necessary to produce layers of oranges and reds. Garnish with a maraschino cherry.
