The study of peoples efficiency in their working environment
Disadvantage of ergonomics
Customisation for each employee may come at a cost
Advantage of ergonomics
Time based savings in using machines and equipment
Total quality management
A management that focuses on satisfying customers through empowering employees to be an active part of continuous quality improvement
TQM advantages
All workers and management have ownership and responsibility for quality
TQM disadvantages
Difficult to allocate responsibility for errors
Relies on all staff being motivated and highly skilled
Good communication skills are needed to be successful
