Why was Eden criticised for the Suez Crisis 1956?
A
He had been foreign secretary and Eden’s decision to withdraw Britain was seen as a lack of political will. Because of Britain being condemned by most of the world, it was seen as not being a major power anymore.

A
- Stepped down 3 months after 1956 Suez incident.
- Official reason was poor health
