A

Developed gradually 4000 years ago with a mixture of different beliefs to make one religion. w
Originally people worshipping many gods (wind, fire and water)
Invaders came and brought sun, moon and sky gods
They were diastisfied so converted to buddhist (3rd century majority of india was buddhist)
People converted back to hinduism when teachings became clear, stories easier to remember.
Invaders came again in 12-16 century bringing muslims (islam followers) and destroyed temples.
