Child harm, injury, or endangerment
any person
willfully causing or permitting any child to suffer, or
inflicting unjustifiable physical pain or mental suffering, or
having the care or custody of any child, and
willfully causing or permitting that child to be placed in such a situation that his or her person or health is endangered.
Physical abuse of a child
any person who,
willfully inflicts upon any child,
any cruel or inhuman, corporal punishment or an injury, resulting in a traumatic condition.
Lewd or lascivious acts
any person
willfully committing any lewd or lascivious act
upon or with the body of a child, with
the intent of arousing, appealing to, or gratifying one’s sexual desires or those of the child, when
the child is under 14 (Penal Code Section 288(a))
or
the child is 14 or 15 and the suspect is 10 or more years older than the victim. (Penal Code Section 288(c)(1))
Annoying or molesting children
any person
annoying or molesting
any child under the age of 18.
Possession of child pornography
knowingly possesses, or
controls any matter,
showing a child under the age of 18 years, engaging in or simulating sexual conduct.
Unlawful sexual intercourse
sexual intercourse,
with a minor under the age of 18,
who is not the spouse of the perpetrator.
Mandated reporters under PC 11166
child care custodians (including teachers and peace officers), health practitioners (medical and non-medical),
employees of child protective agencies,
child visitation monitors,
firefighters,
clergy (except when in confessional), animal control officers,
humane society officers, and commercial film processors.
Exigent circumstances means an emergency situation requiring swift action to prevent:
imminent danger to a person’s life or safety, serious damage to property,
imminent escape of a suspect, or
evidence is about to be destroyed or removed.
