Name the three elements of the Veterinary Client Patient Relationship
- Vet assumes responsibility of making medical judgements and client agrees to follow vet instructions

- Vet is available for follow up visits or has arranged for emergency coverage/coverage by other vet
Define Vet assistant
Person who provides care under supervision (direct or indirect) of vet or CVT

What are board responsibilities?
- Report to governor with summaries of all licenses by Oct 1st each year
- At least one annual meeting (at which public can appear, tape records of which are kept for 2 years)
- Keep the Veterinary Medical Examining Board Fund (10% of all fees to board to goes to state general, 90% to this fund)
- Employment of personnel as needed, including an executive director
- Protect the public from unlawful, incompetent, etc practicing of vet med
- Investigation of violations and regulating disciplinary actions
- Granting / removing licenses and keeping records of all these licenses
- Setting rules and deadlines for applications and licenses
- Having an official seal for licenses
