The player is cautioned

play doesn’t need to be stopped
instructed by the ref to leave the field and correct the equipment

Play goes on until the ball is out of play
what happens if a player is ‘seriously injured’
play is stopped and ensure the player is removed from the field for treatment. An injured player may not be treated on the field of play
when do exceptions to treatment on the field apply?
a gk is injured
a gk and outfield player have collided and need attention
players from the same team have collided and need attention
a severe injury has occurred
a player is injured as a result of a physical offence
a penalty kick has been awarded and the injured player will be the kicker
what happens when outside interference occurs
The match is stopped, suspended or abandoned

what is the role of assistant referees?
they indicate when the whole ball has left the filed ad which team is entitled to a corner kick, goal kick or throw in
