They tightned the law in 1997 and then again later in the year and it is now illegal to own a gun
exception for farmers with licences
What is drug law like now??

In Portugal in 2001 it was made a civil crime not a criminal one if it was below the amount for a 10 day self supply. Instead of being prosecuted they are helped.
Why was Drug law reformed?
In portugal 1 in 100 people were addicted to heroin + also helped save money.
What are laws relating to children like and why were they reformed??
In America kids could and can still be charged as an adult. No concept of a “childhood” and they were put to work. Changed now and parents invest a lot in their childrens education and life.
What is the law around kids now??
Compulsary schooling- 1880 ensured basic education
19th Century children used in cotton mills but factory acts excluded this.
