-crisis in capitalism, people are moving away from it/economic crisis of COVID
-growing attraction against structural nature
-growth in individualisation
-polarisation from Brexit could question social solidarity
-decline in meta-narrative, are individuals influenced my advice of institutions/now look at media or education or the answer
