What occurs in the seperate sections of the nephron

A

Reabsorption occurs by the proximal tubule. Glucose, Vitamins, Water, Sodium, Amino acids, water, Chloride and Bicarbonate.

There is a descending limb and ascending limb. The osmotic concentration changes. Water is able to leave the filtrate through osmosis in the descending limb, Salt is to leave the filtrate during ascent through the ascending limb.

Secretion occurs in the distal convoluted tubule. Where secretion of Ammonia, Uric acid, Hydrogen ions and Penicillin.
