cervical mucous is thick and sticky after ovulation
cervix is high, soft, open when fertile
cervix is low, hard and closed when infertile

A

can be fitted any time if certain not pregnant (with cover contraceptive)

can be used as EC up to 5 days after UPSI

within 48 hrs or >4 weeks post partum

immediately after TOP
