OLED is thinner and lighter than LCD so why isn’t it used for for portables devices such as laptops?
since OLED is organic that means it will display decay/degraded

Why are CCFL not used as much nowadays?
Because they add thickness to portable product which is not ideal and they use more power than LEDs
