What is a minor sentence?
A sentence that is missing a verb, used to emphasise a point or create drama. Example: what the hell
What is a simple sentence?
A sentence with only one clause
What is an adverbial?
A word or phrase expressing time ( in May) place ( in the garden) or manner ( in a strange way)
What is a declarative?
A declarative sentence states a fact, for example I love Taylor Swift
What is an indefinite pronoun?
A pronoun that does not refer to any person, thing or amount in particular. Examples: anything, something, anyone, everyone
What is cohesion?
The grammatical and lexical thinking within a text or sentence that holds it together and gives it meaning

A clause included as an afterthought with which the rest of the sentence already makes sense without. It is marked off by brackets, dashes or commas

A group of words containing a noun and serving as the subject, object or prepositional object, for example “ the owner of the dog”

A word such as extremely or too that comes before a noun phrase or word that determines the meaning of a phrase, they often change or enhance the meaning of the sentence

The basic form of a verb, for example to love or to eat
