What is the SUGAR language sample elicitation approach?

A

Ask process questions (e.g., how does…what happened when…, why did…) ​

Start your cues with “Tell me….” or “I wonder….” ​

Use turnabouts (e.g., That’s a cool truck. Tell me what you like to do with it.) ​

Elicit narratives (e.g., Your mom told me…tell me what happened…, I know….tell me…, Did you ever….tell me about it.)
