A
- influential speaker through use of pronoun/direct address in order to assert his position of power onto UK citizens
- formal title in reference to past PM ‘Mr Heath’- he stays formal but criticises him
- Points out weaknesses of previous party to gain support so they’re seen as superior ‘disastrous failure of three and a half years of Conservative government’
