Cataphoric reference
A reference to something further on in the text.
Anaphoric reference
A referrance to something that happend earlier in the text.
Exophoric reference
Referring to something that is outside of the text.
Endophoric reference
Referring to something within the text.
Adjuncts
Non essential elements of the clause, when removed they do not structurally harm the text.
Disjuncts
Sentence adverbs that express and attitude towards the material that follows.
Lexical Cohesion
Using word meanings to connect different parts of the text.
Ellipsis
Elliptical forms
