Sensory.
A sentence that clearly states something.

Command.
A word that shows the highest level of a skill or quality, e.g. ‘best’, ‘greatest’, ‘strongest’, ‘worst’.
Superlative.
A verb that gives a command.
Imperative verb.
A verb that gives a choice or expresses possibility.
Modal verb.
In grammar, when a person or thing experiences the effect of an action.
Passive verb.
In grammar, when a person or thing performs a stated action.
Active verb.
An idea, feeling, or quality, not a material object.
Abstract noun.
A material object.
Concrete noun.
A word that denotes a group of persons or objects.
Collective noun.
A noun made up of two or more words.
Compound noun.
Something that is written that is intended to make you think of a particular thing or person .
Allusion.
Repeating the same word or phrase at the start of several sentences.
Anaphora.
Deliberately leaving out conjunctions between clauses in sentences (e.g. I came, I saw, I conquered).
Asyndeton.
Repeated use of conjunctions within a sentence; most commonly repeating ‘and’.
Polysyndeton.
Speaking to the reader directly.
Direct address.
