Broca’s area

A

The area of left frontal cortex, just anterior to the mouth region of the primary motor cortex. It contains the motor programs for speech.

A

The area in the superior temporal cortex of the left hemisphere just posterior to primary auditory cortex. It is the center of language comprehension.

A

The parietal-lobe gyrus that is located on its boundary with the temporal lobe. The angular gyrus of the left hemisphere translate images of written words into an auditory code.

Phenotype

A

A phenotype is the composite of an organism’s observable characteristics or traits, such as its morphology, development, biochemical or physiological properties, phenology, behavior, and products of behavior (such as a bird’s nest). Phenotypes result from the expression of an organism’s genes as well as the influence of environmental factors and the interactions between the two. It is more important for school psychologist.
